High-value treatments are researched before they’re booked. We write what the patient is looking for.
Omdra does specialty healthcare content marketing for hospitals and specialist practices, across India and for private practices abroad. One premise runs through everything we write: a patient facing a spinal fusion, a knee replacement or a full-arch implant is going to research it anyway. The practice that explains it honestly gets the patient, and the patient gets a better outcome.
Nobody books a fusion, an implant or an IVF cycle without researching first.
For a check-up, patients go wherever is close. For a high-value treatment, they do what any of us would do with a decision that costs lakhs and changes their body: they search the condition, read about the procedure, compare costs, look up the surgeon, and ask what recovery is really like. They do this for days or weeks, and they do it whether or not your practice has written anything.
Being the trusted advisor in that research is how a practice acquires these patients. But it does something else too. A patient who arrives having read an honest page on what a microdiscectomy can and can’t fix, what a knee implant feels like at six weeks, or what a realistic IVF success rate is for their age, comes in with the right expectations. Better-informed patients choose the right treatment, follow the plan, and are happier with the result. Transparency is a clinical tool as much as a marketing one.
Most agencies never touch this. They sell ads, reels and hoardings, which in India run straight into NMC and DCI rules, and which no one reads at 11pm while deciding on surgery. We only do the research phase: written content, reviewed by the doctor who does the procedure, built to be found by the patient who’s looking for it.
The treatments patients research hardest.
Every specialty we work in has a few decisions like these. They carry the practice’s revenue, and they’re the ones a patient will never make on a hoarding.
The pages are assets. The position is the prize.
A page that answers “knee replacement cost in my city” earns enquiries every month for years after it’s written. Whoever publishes it first, and keeps it current, holds that position. Everyone after them has to buy it back.
Most hospital and practices already have a website. It’s doing nothing.
It was built once, it lists the departments and the doctors, and it sits there. Nobody searching “knee replacement cost” ever lands on it, because it doesn’t answer that question. That’s a clinic opened on a corner nobody walks past: the sign is up, the door is open, and the footfall is zero.
A website only has value when it brings in the patients you want. It does that when it holds the pages those patients are searching for, written properly, kept current, and added to. Nobody visits a corner by accident. The content is what puts you on the main road.
Content compounds. An ad stops the day the budget stops. A treatment page ranks, earns a review, gets cited by an AI answer, links to the next page, and is still bringing in the right patients three years later. Twenty-four honest pages are a balance sheet item, not an expense line.
Entry is cheap now. Almost no hospital or specialist practice in India has written properly about what patients actually search. The searches exist; the answers don’t. Right now the cost of owning “the treatment you do best” in your city is a few months of writing. That won’t stay true.
Late entry is expensive. Once a competitor holds the page, the position and the reviews under it, you don’t write your way past them in a quarter. You pay to be seen, in ads, every month, for visibility they get for free, and you pay several times what building it would have cost. The practice that got there first keeps it for as long as it keeps the pages current.
- The OPD full of patients who already know what they need and why they chose you
- Your surgeon known across the city for the procedure, not just inside the building
- Cost pages patients quote back to you, so nobody haggles at the desk
- Enquiries that arrive without a referral, a facilitator or an ad
India first. International by design.
The same service-line method works in Lucknow and in Leeds. What changes is the layer on top: the rules, the channels, the currency and the proof.

Every page passes four hands before it’s published.
An agency that sells content should be able to show how it’s made. The full version is on our editorial standards pageComing soon.
Primary keyword, the question the page answers, the reader (India or international, which specialty), the compliance rules that apply, and every link in and out.
Written by a senior writer from primary sources: guidelines, published outcomes, your consultants’ own notes. AI helps with research and structure; it doesn’t publish anything unread.
The consultant who does the procedure reads the page before it goes live. Clinical accuracy is theirs to sign off, not ours to guess at.
Schema, internal links and Google Business Profile updated the same day. Every page carries a visible updated date and is reviewed quarterly.
